Plunet!In the last period, EHR, Stefanos, members of the tech team (Adrien, Gergoe and Kos), Emma, and Sergen have been particularly busy in transferring all profiles from Odoo to Plunet. The operation also included contacting all linguists to double-check their data and update their price lists. A total of 597 profiles are now in the system. This also includes those linguists who stopped working for various reasons (now set to Inactive) or who have been blacklisted.
In principle, data should now be correct and reflect what was provided by the linguists. However, should you find any weird details or have doubts, please do not hesitate to let us know. One quick way to do this is by using the Task section at the bottom of the profile. You can tag EHR and report any issues.
Day 0 AssessmentWhile transferring the data to Plunet, we didn't want to lose all the evaluations that were entered in Odoo Employee. Adrien, Kos, and Valentina made miracles to provide a summary of the evaluations in Odoo, which we have called "Day 0 Assessment". While this assessment should be taken with due precaution as obtained with AI assistance, we are particularly proud of the result. You can find an example here:

Job feedbackWe are also happy to see that PMs have taken on the habit to provide a feedback for each job that has been completed. Thank you for your contribution!

Confidentiality and AIWith the widespread use of AI in all domains, we took the opportunity of our recent communication to all our resources to stress the importance of using any online chatbots or AI tools in a responsible and confidential way. Our Confidentiality agreement was also updated to include a specific clause about these new tools.
MTPEThe resources in our database have been made aware of the recent trend towards more and more Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE) and the possibility that they are contacted for this kind of tasks with the option to opt out if they desire so. Except for a few linguists who oppose to MTPE (a pop-up memo will appear in that case in Plunet), the vast majority are willing to take up such jobs.
News from our linguistsAs a result of the mass mails that we sent for Plunet, some (old hand) linguists have shared news:Nino (Georgian verifier): as a consequence of Trump's recent policies, the funding to the radio she used to work for has been suspended, so the radio is currently struggling to keep open. We hope that she can continue her activity. On the more positive side, she has shared with us a number of pictures of her three grand-children, Benjamin (5 years old), Dahlia (4) and Lukas (3). Ernesto (Chilean verifier): he's now approaching 80 years old and has officially retired. He sends his regards to everyone and adds: "cApStan was certainly the best thing that happened to me during my working years and I will always be grateful to all of you for your love and support."
Some statisticsAlthough we have been using Plunet for evaluation only for a few months, we can already pull some statistics which we would like to share.The diagram below indicates the linguists (both external and internal) who received the highest number of job feedback. On the top is Pamela with 22 evaluations received.
